My Story
My Scentsy journey began way back in 2010 when my boys were just itty bitty creatures that had just turned one, and my daughter was a 3 year old firecracker, and my cousin Jerri asked me to host a Scentsy party. She was a new consultant at the time and I think I was one of her first parties. I had such a great time at my in home party that I thought I would give being a consultant myself a try. I was in the throws of some terrible post partum depression, My husband was working full time and going to school full time and my day was full of diapers and all of the other things having 3 babies under 3 will bring. I was lacking adult interaction and I so desperately craved it. So I joined Scentsy more than anything to get some of myself back. To feel like I had something to do outside of the 24/7 job of being a mom. (I had always worked full time up until I was about 7 months pregnant with the boys so being cut off from other adults felt very lonely at that time). Scentsy helped me find myself again! It gave me purpose. It was helpful to have a little extra spending money too, especially in those days when we really didn’t have an extra cent to spare. Over the years, it has turned into something more for me. I love all of the products and use them myself. I always think that Scentsy can’t top the previous catalog or products and they always prove me wrong ten-fold! It has grown into a business that helps me contribute to my family (mostly to my innate need to travel, household repairs, and extra money for the holidays). I have seen my business grow so much in the last couple of years when I have really decided it was something I wanted to focus on. Now my main goal is to turn it into a full time gig. Every day, I challenge myself, push myself a little further out of my comfort zone, and get closer to that goal!
